KUALA LUMPUR: Construction outfit Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd has received a RM442mil contract from Aspen Vision City Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Singapore-listed Aspen (Group) Holdings Ltd and IKEA Southeast Asia, to construct the main building works of Vertu Resort, a condominium project.
The company said in an announcement to Bursa Malaysia that the project consist of 1,246 condominium units in five 20-storey to 36-storey blocks to be built above an 8-storey car park podium with one storey above the car park for community recreational facilities.
Vertu opened for registration early last year and has garnered considerable public response as can be seen by the current take up-rate of 75%, which includes sales and bookings.
The company said the project will commence on Sept 4 and will be completed by Nov 4, 2020.
Kerjaya said this will be the company’s sixth contract award for the year and brings the year-to-date contract wins to RM868mil.
Therefore, including this contract, the company’s current orderbook stands at RM2.9bil.
This contract would also be the company’s biggest project award this year.
